3 Must See Attractions in Jersey City

Jersey City is the second largest city in New Jersey and is situated right across the Hudson River and New York City. If you’re in the city together with your friends or family and you want to visit this city, you should carefully consider the best mean of transport to get to all the attractions.

Our suggestion is to get in touch with a Jersey City charter bus company and to rent a charter bus. This is both the easiest and cheapest way to get around the city if you’re traveling along with a group of people. Having a charter bus at your service is really helpful if you also decide to plan a trip to New York. In this case, it is best to first talk to the Jersey City charter bus company you’ve hired to tell you if you have to pay supplementary costs for highway tolls, parking or if you need to pay for your driver’s meals and accommodation.

When you start writing down you must see Jersey City’s attractions, you should make sure you mention the following attractions too:

Liberty State Park

This park is as large as the famous Central Park in New York but, although it enjoys over 4 million visitors a year, is not quite as developed as the last one. Regardless of this aspect, many tourists come here so they can capture spectacular views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Most of the tourists who arrive here also book a trip with the State Cruises, a ferry that will take them to the Statue of Liberty. So you can get to the iconic attraction of New York from Jersey City too. While in Liberty State Park, you could also visit the Liberty Science Center which has six exhibitions areas and the largest IMAX Dome theater in the United States.

Hudson and Manhattan Railroad Powerhouse

This powerhouse enjoys a beautiful Romanesque architecture which dates back to the beginning of the 1900s. It allowed the operation of the first trans-Hudson subway. It was closed in 1929 and opened in 2001 as a museum. The designer of this powerhouse was John Oakman, an alumnus of the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.

Paulus Hook

Paulus Hook is a neighborhood situated between Grand Street and the Morris Canal which charms tourists due to its beautiful brownstone row houses. Also, from here you can admire beautiful views of New York City. The area divides Downtown Jersey City from Liberty State Park and is serviced by a light rail.
